We want to welcome the fine employees and customers of Southern State Bank to Farmers Bank and Trust…a community bank that has given our customers the highest priority for almost a century. We believe that success is simply a matter of treating our customers the way we would want to be treated. We continue with that value as we enter into our new relationship with Southern State Bank.
Farmers Bank began its operation in Magnolia on September 26, 1906 and since that time we have experienced two World Wars and several major conflicts, The Great Depression, the discovery of oil in 1938 and the decline of oil production in the 1980’s. We have remained committed to the idea that people can make a positive difference in the lives of our customers. We also believe that banking will always be a people business, no matter how advanced technology gets.
Many factors make the relationship between Farmers Bank & Trust and Southern State Bank a good fit but most of all it is our common values about people.
